In January, 2010, Joe Weinman presented and was a panelist addressing "Cloud Computing: What It Means for Carriers" at the Pacific Telecommunications Council's 32nd Annual Conference, "Embracing the Cloud: Enabling Connectivity and Innovation," held at Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu. The panel was moderated by Richard Martin, Editor-in-Chief of VON. Panelists included Don Macneil, VP, XO Carrier Services Operations, Michael Rouleau, SVP, Business Development Strategy, tw telecom, and Treb Ryan, CEO of OpSource.
In December, 2009, he presented and was a panelist reviewing "Cloud Computing 2.0: The role for telcos" at Telco 2.0's 8th Executive Brainstorm, held at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando. The panel was moderated by Thomas Rambold, CEO of DESS. In November, he presented and was a panelist on "Optimizing the Customer Experience in the Cloud: What are the Vital Considerations" at TM Forum's Management World Americas at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando. Also in December at the TM Forum he presented at the VIP Executive Roundtable with Eric Pulier, Executive Chairman of ServiceMesh, and was a panelist addressing "Head in the Clouds but Feet on the Ground: How can Service Providers be Part of the New Cloud/SaaS Value Chain" at . The panel was moderated by Nava Levy, Head of SaaS/Cloud Computing Program, Amdocs. Also in October, he spoke at a private event held just outside of Brussels at Michelin 3 Star restaurant Hof van Cleve, with Chef of the Year Peter Goossens.

In mid-August, he reviewed emerging trends in cloud computing and application services in Sao Paulo.
In July, he made a guest appearance in front of just over 10,000 live attendees and 3,000 web attendees at Cisco Live via Telepresence from Lisbon during Cisco CTO Padmasree Warrior's Keynote Address.
In June, he presented to the plenary session of about 250 researchers from 26 countries at the 59th Annual IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks, held at the Hotel Miragem Cascais, in Estoril, Portugal, near Lisbon.
He was also on a panel chaired by Kaustubh Joshi, of AT&T Labs Research, together with Aad Van Moorsel, Reader, Newcastle University, and Farnam Jahanian, Founder and Chairman of Arbor Networks and Chair of the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the University of Michigan.

In May, 2009, Mr. Weinman was a panelist for "Lots to Love, Less to Use: How Enterprises Can Embrace the Cloud" at Interop, held at Mandalay Bay, in Las Vegas, and at Interop's Enterprise Cloud Summit, where he was a panelist addressing "The Case for Cloud Infrastructure: On-Demand Economics" moderated by blogger/consultant John Willis. Co-panelists included noted cloud blogger James Urquhart of Cisco, Paul Mockapetris , co-inventor of the Domain Name System and Chairman and Chief Scientist of Nominium, and Neil Cohen, Akamai's Director of Product Marketing.
He also presented at HP's Communications, Media, and Entertainment CTO Summit, at Red Rocks and the Ritz Carlton, Denver.
Also in May, he led the Think Tank session at the CIO Forum at Miami's Fontainebleau resort.
