In October, 2011, Joe Weinman supported the United Nations International Telecommunications Union 40th Anniversary ITU World '11 conference at Palexpo in Geneva. At the Technical Symposium, he presented "Network Implications of Cloud Computing" in the New Concepts for Future Networks track, moderated by Asok Chatterjee, VP, Industry Relations, Ericsson, with co-presenters Antonio Manzalini of Telecom Italia, Kostas Pentikousis of Huawei Technologies, and Sunil Vadgama of Fujitsu Labs.

In the main session, he also participated on the "Heads in the Cloud," panel, moderated by Michael Wigley, Senior Partner, Wigley & Company (rightmost), with co-panelists (left to right) Karim Taga, Managing Director, Arthur D. Also in October, he keynoted the Sonus Networks Connexions 2011 conference at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables.

He also presented a keynote and participated in the keynote panel at ICIN 2011, From Bits to Data, From Pipes to Clouds in Berlin.

In September, 2011, Joe Weinman delivered the Industry Guest Speaker Presentation at The Tier 1 / 451 Group Hosting and Cloud Transformation Summit, at the Bellagio Hotel, in Las Vegas.

Also in June he presented the Opening Keynote on Cloud Computing, "The Future of Cloud Computing," at the inaugural IEEE Technology Time Machine Symposium, at the Sheraton Hong Kong, Kowloon.

In May, 2011, Mr. Weinman presented Cloud Provider Business Models for Telcos, at TM Forum Management World, in Dublin.

Also in May, he emceed and presented "Creating Independent Top-Line Revenue Growth Strategies by Leveraging Cloud Services" for telecom operators at the IIR Telecom Cloud Services Summit, in Berlin at the Scandic Potsdamer Platz.

Also in May he presented "An Update on Cloud Economics," at the Interop 2011 Enterprise Cloud Summit, in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Here on stage with Brian Butte, PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Also in May he was a panelist addressing "The Need for Speed: Can Mobile Infrastructure Keep Up with Demand?," moderated by Lucy Hood, Executive Director of the USC Institute for Communication Technology Management, at the Milken Institute Global Conference 2011, at the Beverly Hills Hilton.

In April he keynoted the HP Cloud Roadshow in several U.S. cities. In March he was the Track Chair, Cloud Economics, and presenter, "Cloud Economics: Private, Public, or Hybrid," Cloud Connect 2011, "Accelerate Your Cloud Strategy," Santa Clara, at the Hyatt. Track speakers and panelists included Will Forrest of McKinsey & Co., Rolf Harms of Microsoft, James Staten of Forrester, Randy Bias of Cloudscaling, and Ravi Rajagopal of Computer Associates.
