In December, 2009, Joe Weinman presented and was a panelist reviewing "Cloud Computing 2.0: The role for telcos" at Telco 2.0's 8th Executive Brainstorm, held at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando. The panel was moderated by Thomas Rambold, CEO of DESS. Panelists included Steve Zimba, CMO of C-Beyond, and Andreas Koch, Senior Director of Service Provider Marketing and Strategy at Juniper Networks.
In November, he presented and was a panelist on "Optimizing the Customer Experience in the Cloud: What are the Vital Considerations" at TM Forum's Management World Americas at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando. The panel was moderated by Roger Pilc, Corporate Senior Vice President and General Manager at CA. Panelists included Mike DiPetrillo, Chief Cloud Architect, VMware, and Andrew Higginbotham, VP IT Operations, CenturyLink.
Also in December at the TM Forum he presented at the VIP Executive Roundtable with Eric Pulier, Executive Chairman of ServiceMesh, and was a panelist addressing "Head in the Clouds but Feet on the Ground: How can Service Providers be Part of the New Cloud/SaaS Value Chain" at . The panel was moderated by Nava Levy, Head of SaaS/Cloud Computing Program, Amdocs. Panelists included Debra Osswald, Global Communications Industry Strategy Leader, IBM, Steve Mannel, Media & Communications Director, Salesforce.com, and Elisabeth Rainge, Program Director NGN Operations, IDC.
In November, 2009, Joe Weinman presented and was a panelist addressing "Monetising Cloud Computing" at Capacity Media's Capacity Europe 2009 at the Hilton Amsterdam. The panel was moderated by Joel Stradling of Current Analysis. Panelists included Interoute's Matthew Finnie, Verizon's Chris Kimm, and VozTelecom's Xavier Casajoana.

He also was on the panel "Is Cloud Computing a Technology or Business Model," moderated by Jesse Robbins, CEO, Opscode, with co-panelists Oren Michels, CEO, Mashery, David Berlind, Chief Content Officer, Techweb, and Alistair Croll, Principal Analyst, Bitcurrent.
Also at Interop NYC, he moderated the panel "Never Buy a Server Again: Should You Move Everything to On-Demand," with panelists Allan Leinwand, Principal, Panorama Capital, Harris Tilevitz, CIO, Skadden, Arps, Andy Rhodes of Dell, Adam Selipsky, VP, Amazon Web Services, and Will Forrest of McKinsey & Co.
He also was a panelist at Riverbed's Cloud9 product launch event at Chelsea Piers in New York. The panel was moderated by Zeus Kerravala, Senior Vice President, Yankee Group. In October, 2009, he spoke at Atlantis Pavilions in Toronto at a special pre-Olympics event with X-games Gold Medalist and Olympic hopeful ski cross champion Aleisha Cline.
Also in October, he spoke at a private event held just outside of Brussels at Michelin 3 Star restaurant Hof van Cleve, with Chef of the Year Peter Goossens.
He also spoke in Valencia at the 50th Anniversary meeting of Guide Share Europe.

In mid-August, he reviewed emerging trends in cloud computing and application services in Sao Paulo.
In July, he made a guest appearance in front of just over 10,000 live attendees and 3,000 web attendees at Cisco Live via Telepresence from Lisbon during Cisco CTO Padmasree Warrior's Keynote Address.
In June, he presented to the plenary session of about 250 researchers from 26 countries at the 59th Annual IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks, held at the Hotel Miragem Cascais, in Estoril, Portugal, near Lisbon.
He was also on a panel chaired by Kaustubh Joshi, of AT&T Labs Research, together with Aad Van Moorsel, Reader, Newcastle University, and Farnam Jahanian, Founder and Chairman of Arbor Networks and Chair of the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the University of Michigan.
Also in June, he was the Master of Ceremonies for Giga OmniMedia's Structure 09: Put Cloud Computing to Work Conference at the Mission Bay Convention Center in San Francisco. In May, 2009, Mr. Weinman was a panelist for "Lots to Love, Less to Use: How Enterprises Can Embrace the Cloud" at Interop, held at Mandalay Bay, in Las Vegas, and at Interop's Enterprise Cloud Summit, where he was a panelist addressing "The Case for Cloud Infrastructure: On-Demand Economics" moderated by blogger/consultant John Willis. Co-panelists included noted cloud blogger James Urquhart of Cisco, Paul Mockapetris , co-inventor of the Domain Name System and Chairman and Chief Scientist of Nominium, and Neil Cohen, Akamai's Director of Product Marketing.
He also presented at HP's Communications, Media, and Entertainment CTO Summit, at Red Rocks and the Ritz Carlton, Denver.
Also in May, he led the Think Tank session at the CIO Forum at Miami's Fontainebleau resort.
In March, he presented at and was a panelist at IDC's Asia/Pacific Cloud Computing Conference 2009, "Preparing for the Next 20 Years of IT," with about 200 attendees, held at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront in Singapore.
